Story: The first time I was in Savannah, GA, my mom and I woke up really early and decided to find a breakfast spot. We took a walk on the Riverwalk and found Huey’s on The River. They had beignets with a praline pecan sauce on their menu. My mom and I decided to try them. As you can see from this photo, they were heaven on a plate. Light, fluffy beignets with the consistency of clouds and the most amazingly melt-in-your-mouth sauce. Absolutely yummers. To this day, I can’t go to Savannah without a stop at Huey’s.
