Story: Once of the first things my friend and I did when we arrived in Naples and checked into our hotel was go up to the rooftop deck to see the view.  It was almost indescribably beautiful.  From the deck, we had a panoramic view of the city with Mount Vesuvius in the background. This was it. One of my dreams coming true. I’ve dreamed about this since first learning about Pompeii’s destruction in 79 AD.  I was as giddy as a school girl experiencing her first crush, enraptured. Honestly, I was simply euphoric.
